I was delighted to meet Amy Whitworth of Qubis Design earlier this year at Home where she showed her doll’s house cum coffee table.
As a child I loved the idea of a doll’s house but never got beyond Barbie’s bedroom. As an adult I found them a bit twee and girlie till now.
Like all great ideas it’s actually the kind of thing that is very simple once you think about it. Amy couldn’t find what she wanted for her child so made it with the help of her family who are architects with the added bonus of workshop facilities. I especially like the fact that it works for boys as easily as for girls and isn’t something you have to clear away at the end of the day.
