Spring is now officially here

Now that the clocks have changed for summer time and evenings are lighter, I wanted to bring a little more sun into my posts. Seen back in January at Maison & Objet, one of the trend themes was Heliotropic, focusing on the sun’s heat, light and colour. I found the sunflower-inspired structure below very cheering at the darkest time of the year.  That Mediterranean combination of yellow and blue  reminds me automatically of the seaside and beaches. The irregular hand-moulded quality adds to the appeal.
