Some makers shown at Maison & Objet

23/02/2015

A theme in the trend area at Maison & Objet was “making” which I was obviously interested in so here are a few of the pieces shown:

Amsterdam-based Lex Pott’sTrue Colours panels have their colour recipes on the surface and are available in a limited edition of 20.

Paolo Ulian and Moreno Ratti showed how they made these marble double vases in a video running behind the display.

Stian Korntved Ruud set himself the project of exploring the qualities of wood and the funcionality (or not) of a spoon by making a spoon a day for a year. Here are a few examples of the range he’s come up with illustrating the sheer exuberance of making.
