There are plenty of open studio sales and design fairs happening all over London in the run-up to Christmas which are well worth a visit – here are a couple to note:
The Notting Hill Design Fair 1st – 3rd December at the 20th Century Theatre on Westbourne Grove. Exhibitors include Christa Davis for vintage clothing and cashmere for adults and children, Emma Clegg ceramics and too many others to mention here.
Next weekend sees the Clockwork Christmas Open Studio at Clockwork Studios in Southwell Road, Camberwell SE5. This labyrinth of workspaces houses 23 makers including long-standing members Victoria Richards textiles (Jon Snow is a big fan of her ties) and Bridget Bailey of Bailey Tomlin millinery.
