On at the moment, The London Art Fair at the Business Design Centre in Islington is always worth visiting to see and buy a broad range of 20th century and contemporary art. Some of the pieces that attracted my attention are below.
The selection on show ranges from work by Leigh Davis and Peter Lanyon as well as one of my favourite colourists, Ivon Hitchins.
On the other hand, the gold plated hippo skull from infamous drug baron Pablo Escobar’s collection on display at Pertwee Anderson & Gold attracted a lot of attention.
African and Asian artists are increasingly in evidence including Kwang Young Chun‘s delicately wrapped mulberry paper at Skipwiths Gallery
Some of my photos are a bit crooked: I was avoiding people as much as I could.
