This is a cup post which came as a bit of a surprise. I bumped into Luke Bishop whilst going around Made London whose work I’ve already featured. His new pieces include large cups (which are much stronger than they look) and installations creating still lives
On the way downstairs I’d been compelled to speak to James & Tilla Waters about their cups – look at these colours and the subtlety of glaze. Tilla is the colourist while James concentrates on the shapes. It turned out that Luke is a big fan which I completely get.
