If you’re looking for a cheap and cheerful place to stay in London then Z Hotels is worth investigating. The recently opened Z Hotel Shoreditch is right by Old Street station so well located for the area.Walk in to the small friendly reception area for check-in. A lovely touch is the offering of wine and cheese served every evening giving all guests the option of social interaction if desired. Rooms are small (some quite tiny) as you’d expect but have the essentials for a short stay: comfortable bed, decent shower and, a very important factor for me, effective sound insulation from the busy street outside.
