Having my head scanned by the Veronica Scanner at the Royal Academy

12/09/2016

“I never liked being photographed…I don’t like the way I look in photographs because I don’t think I look that way…everyone knows what I looked like except me. And looking in a mirror didn’t help much…Now (with the Veronica Chorographic Scanner), at least I know what I look like” – Daniel Wolf.

I’ve included this quote from the project as this is exactly why I took part in this project.

The Veronica Scanner project recently took place at the Royal Academy London before moving to Waddesdon Manor in Aylesbury.

You sit on the saddle and stay very still for a few seconds while 96 flashes go off around you giving a consistent light for the eight moving cameras to capture.

One person per day has their head digitally carved in wood.

I hope by now that you realise this isn’t me – I’m in the online gallery.

So now I really do know what I look like and I’m happy about it.
