CitizenM Bankside has been open a few months now but I’ve only just been able to get to visit myself and am delighted to report that I was impressed, not only by the design but also by the vibe. I’d seen all the press pics but the real thing is actually better.
The public areas were really welcoming and lively. The locals seem to have made it their watering hole and meeting place yet it still feels very international.
The meeting rooms on the first floor have access to natural light and a terrace which is great to clear your head during break-out sessions. They might be a little small for the events we organise but too big wouldn’t be appropriate here.
The rooms are all the same: simple and functional with touches of bright colour and blackout blinds. To be honest they are just for sleeping and washing – perfect for the London visitor wanting to get out and about to explore the city. So far they seem to have got it right: the evening we visited it was fully booked and has been since opening.
