Looking back I’ve admired a lot of Gareth Neal’s work over the years. This impressive table was the first piece of his I remember.
This time I wanted to share his George chest of drawers which develops the same concept of time past and present in one object. That mix of tradition and modernity never fails to fascinate me.
Gary Allson is another maker I’ve written about before, this time back in 2010. He uses digital techniques to create wooden panels and platters that are really satisfying to look at and touch. They’d be exquisite in an alcove or as a border.
I look forward to seeing what they’ll do next. In the meantime please search my previous posts for images of older work. Gary’s bowls are a wonder to behold.
