Most of my presents and cards are home-made or sourced from small makers so here are a couple of companies I’ve found recently worth investigating if you’re in need of ideas. You can order online so don’t even have to venture out into the cold and wet if you don’t want to.
Wyatt and Jack produce bags, purses and pouches from not only deckchairs but also bouncy castles & other diverse repurposed materials. And they’re all made in Britain. You can source by beach – the Brigitte below is from Brighton & Hove.
This Humphrey rucksack is made of rubber dinghy and south coast trampolines (I didn’t know there were special trampolines down there). Plenty more on their website from coin purses up.
Ohh deer was founded in 2011 by Mark Callaby and Jamie Mitchell to promote their work as well as that of a group of illustrators, a brilliant idea that is available both retail and online. I really liked the video with a recalcitrant parrot last time I looked. Good prices too.
Just a couple of pieces from their range below
