Part of my work is in the hotel industry, hence the occasional hotel postings. I spotted this as another example of the trend for good budget hotels with a bit of style. What I like about this one is that the owners of Bloc Hotel have really done their homework, selecting the key elements of what their target market requires.
Pod building construction in a central city location close to good restaurants and bars, a comfortable bed with great linen, a strong shower, good wi-fi and plasma TVs are the key elements, even self service pastries and coffee (or tea?) for breakfast if required: all you need for your one or two-night stay.
The photos here are from their website as I haven’t had the chance to visit yet. Maybe I’ll get to the new one opening soon at Gatwick?
