I wasn’t the only one amazed by the liveliness of Lauren Scott’s animals which have so much personality they’re almost crying out to be animated in a film. All her source materials are recycled. I like the rhythm of that: rejected and unloved scraps brought together to produce vivid representations of creatures often denigrated themselves.
Ben Esthop showed wooden vessels with coloured resin, originally his solution to mend the cracks but now an integral part of his work.
