The organisers of the Sleep Event offer the NEWH‘s scholarship winners a free stand to show their work to the industry and, although a little out of the way this year, they presented their ideas for hospitality design.
I’ve already written about James Stoklund’s sensual tableware which I adore and was delighted to spread the word once more to whoever I could drag up the stairs. I was on a mission to get people to visit them and I’m glad to say that not one person regretted making the effort to see the work. I hadn’t had the chance to see and touch the full range of Kia Kutzon-Frank’s screens before and loved the flexibility they afforded as dividers as well as window treatments. Lizete Druka showed both 3 and 2 dimensional work illustrating the adaptability of her prints and giving a hint of her investigations into the tension between the two.
