I’ve been following Kit Miles since first seeing his work at New Designers – it must be about 3 years ago now.
I never took photos of his work as he was always busy; I don’t like to disturb people when they’re potentially selling. This time however, I caught him tidying up his stand in the House of Detention during Clerkenwell Design Week – see freshly plumped cushion below
His large scale multicoloured prints are impressive; he’s one of a fortunately growing number of designers who use digital media and printing as the tools they are rather than a substitute for strong drawing skills. I see it all too often in surface design and it infuriates me.
He’s now included wallpaper and ceramics in his range; any surface is fair game for Kit.
