Imagine my surprise and delight to come across Kristin’s gallery in Wandsworth Town, a part of London I’ve never been to before. She was recovering from the private view the night before of A-Biotic, a show by Andrea Francolino when I met her.
His concrete floorplans of megamalls are imprinted then smashed and reassembled like archeological relics in wooden frames. Other pieces are rubble with a little bit of greenery coming through
This piece, A-Biotic, of metal core rods with a plant further extends its reach through the shadows cast. And this delicate concrete dust drawing, Et Onne Tempo, is reminiscent for me of Tibetan sacred sand mandalas. The exhibition runs till the 7th September.
