It was a real rush trying to get round the show as I didn’t give myself enough time to both look and talk, something to bear in mind for my next visit.
Emma Davis showed more glorious coloured abstracts from a recent trip to India, both prints and originals
Carla Moss, based in Leeds, showed sensitive and atmospheric graphite drawings.
while Lucienne O’Mara had painted large pictures based on the human figure. My photos of her work didn’t come out well so this one is from her website.
In total contrast Archie Proudfoot showed his traditional sign-writing work with once more original frames pieces on mirrored glass and prints. I’ve passed shops and admired his work before now without knowing whose it was. Again, I didn’t have time to take photos so these are from his site, you can appreciate his craftsmanship from the detailed shot below.
