Lindsey Lang, whose work I’ve written about before, has recently developed a tile collection that expands the asymmetrical abstract themes already seen in her textiles into repeat with flooring. Patterns now repeat ad infinitum in a very satisfying way.The seemingly unbalanced look of “Leaf” (the big grey tile in the centre below) is resolved when seen en masse. I also like the delicacy of “Hex” (bottom row below), becoming quite mediterranean in feel once laid. Clever.Pictures below from Lindsey’s site. Colouring ranges from strong to subtle, suitable for all areas of an interior.
