Now these people The Deep Print Movement (sounds a bit cultish doesn’t it?) had been under my radar so I was excited to talk to director Guy Skerman, albeit briefly, as they were very busy when we met at Textile Forum.
I love this window print above.
Put simply they print leather, highly skilled work. They have been quietly working away with some of the top names in fashion for the past 12 years: Chanel, Hermès, Mulberry & Paul Smith to name only a few. I had in fact already seen their work (glimpse the accessories in the cabinet below) without realising.
Guy showed me some pieces in development – no photos allowed – and the excellent quality of pattern and execution was something I could really relate to. Low minimum orders and based in the UK. Hooray!
