Last Friday I went along to the launch party for Ms Wanda’s Wardrobe, a new company started by Esther Freeman. It began from the dilemma of loving fashion but not wanting to add to the one point something billion tonnes of textiles put into landfill every year. Her idea is to promote pre-loved, vintage and upcycled fashion to increase our awareness of the possibilities to extend the life of garments.
The evening included jackets by Queenie & Ted, dresses by Dirty Pretty & Round London, cushions by Sue Stewart and jewellery by Sweet Notions who co-hosted.
The pop-up shop is at 3-5 Whitechapel Street till the 6th April so why not go and see what they have to offer.
I’ll write about the space next time.
