The hotel’s strapline – “every saint has a past: every sinner a future” – captures the atmosphere pretty well with a wide choice of dining, meeting and sleeping.

To think this used to be the London headquarters of the Baptist church. Carefully restored, many of the original details remain including overmantels illustrating scenes from the Pilgrim’s Progress; this one is Freedom from Sin.
I loved the stairwell going up 7 floors too.
The listed interior of the library is a characterful place to hire – I’d definitely accept almost any invitation to come here.
