Quantum Cloud, a sculpture by Anthony Gormley inspired by quantum physics, was resplendent in the winter sun when we walked past it over the Christmas break.
His ever-present human form is just discernible within the buzzing mass of lines. I was really surprised to learn that this piece is taller at 30 metres than the Angel of the North as it didn’t come across as so very large when we saw it. It’s no doubt the lightness and airiness as opposed to the solidity of the Angel.
Hmm, with my back to the sculpture this view of Ravensbourne and The O2 Dome behind a temporary-looking wire fence tells me the landscaping still needs a tad more work.
