Accessories by Samson Soboye at Soboye Soong

Fashion stylist and accessories designer Samson runs Soboye Soong, a small shop  in Shoreditch which is always worth a visit. His beaded, embroidered and applique cushions and scarves  are a glamorous addition to any home and wardrobe, male or female. One of the things I like about his work is the fact that it isn’t overtly gender-designed, unlike so much of what is available on the high street. Can you see what I mean from the photo below?

His pieces fit into contemporary and traditional interiors adding a level of sophistication in quite a classic way.  The context of classic in this context means that you can live with it for a long time and not get bored. Don’t be deceived by the apparent simplicity of some of the designs: it takes skill to make it look this easy.

My scarf photos didn’t come out so well as they really needed to be on someone. that may be for a leter blog. Samson is working on the new scarf collection as I write this so the best thing for now is to visit the shop – or ask me.
