The Story of Fixity by Noémie Goudal was a recent Artangel project at Borough Yards near London Bridge.
I shared her video work, Supra Strata seen at White Cube, in an earlier post, so was keen to see this installation.
This time there were projections on 3 large screens, each made of shaped boards as for a stage set.
The videos were on a loop from dark to light and back so here are some shots of the process. It was accompanied by a soundtrack of nature and water with dye actually dripping around the screens onto the metal floor plates.
Some colours were gloriously reminiscent of early 20th Century painting.
It was a gradual process, inviting the viewer to take time, sit quietly and watch, especially as each screen was different.
