This small display shows a selection of costumes for Poor Things, the brilliantly bonkers film that everyone is talking about. It’s tucked at the back of the ground floor, just before the stairs up to the rest of the building.
Costume designer Holly Waddington mixed modern and traditional materials, producing unusual textural combinations to deepen our understanding of the characters.
Seeing costumes off-screen helps us appreciate the detail and craftsmanship involved as well as the physical dimensions of the actors.
The film isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I loved the visually fantastical world created.
