During my recent review of RCA show information I found two more product design ideas that had caught my eye, this time for more aesthetic reasons.
Lina Patsiou showed her Chromatography system where a sprayer coated a vase with 26 colours relating to the letters of our alphabet. You enter different letters to create a particular finish. The possibilities of this would be interesting to explore; because of the nature of spraying, I imagine that even the same word would produce a slightly different piece.

Elliot Hartwell played with the grain of wood, also bound to attract my attention. It’s a simple but attractive idea as you can see from his ladder and flooring below and gives the material texture – no slipping on these ladder treads.
