Combining deliveries with gallery visits seems to have been a thing recently which I’ve been happy to make the most of.

I’m a big fan of Cornelia Parker so this show of new prints at Cristea Roberts was a treat. Using the early photographic technique of calotype first discovered by Henry Fox Talbot she plays with concepts of familiarity and mystery, the seen and the unseeable.

Some parts are almost dream-like while others are pin-sharp.

Light, time, distance…all elements within the prints.

The fragments of broken items hint at their own story.
