Mapping Time – part 1 of 2

17/08/2015

It isn’t often I see a mixed show where I llike most of the work but this exhibition, Mapping Time at Frameless Gallery, delivered the goods. It was the first collaboration between art curators and dealers Joanna Bryant and Julian Page. Each artist represented tackles the recording and passage of time. The images and names below are not fully comprehensive but aim to give you an indication of the contents.

Now and Then by Alexander Massouras records every minute so you will always find the correct time somewhere within the painting.

Emma McNally, whose work so impressed me when I saw it in Mirror City at the Hayward Gallery, creates visualisations of systems connected to geological formations and constellations
