Walking through felt like witnessing a 1940s film noir plot. We are though given the freedom to interpret the story in a variety of ways, coming to any range of conclusions. The essential element of a woman trapped in domestic boredom and how she sets about changing her circumstances.
Painting in thin layers and a restricted palette on plywood gives a particular atmosphere to the “story”.
An encounter with a stranger in a public place with the silhouette between them reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock (who famously figured in the background of all his films)
Policewomen in discussion;
the lovers in bed;
then a body discovered
The court room scene within a set
