Housewarming is the most recent project from Art Friend, founded by gallerist Shona Bland and is on till the 15th February. The team have taken over a derelict semi-detached house in Stoke Newington and filled it with contemporary art.
Some artists have a whole room to do with as they please such as Adam Bartlett (above and below).
Craig Keenan painted this entire bedroom cyanotype blue for his prints. His raincloud over the fireplace is something I keep thinking of.
Matt Dosa integrates strips of ripped-out floorboards in his painted and collaged room
while Dawn Beckles‘ paintings furnish the upstairs bar, complete with chest of drawers and wardrobe.
Dave Buonaguidi’s prints line the stairs down to the ground floor
where LouLou‘s cocktail prints and
Molly Braithwaite‘s food paintings line the kitchen walls.
Other artists are involved so visit the Art Friend website to see more and sign up to their newsletter to get news about future events.
