Circles play such an important role in my visual vocabulary that I was keen to visit this show at Handel Street Projects.
Fay Ballard‘s practice is based on drawing and making these circles is, for her, meditation. It is also apparent to the viewer, being quiet, contemplative pieces.
Looking closely you see the slight irregularities of her hand-painting and drawing,
