Maison et Objet September

02/10/2012

Too much to write about in one or even two posts so I”ve just picked a few snippets here with more companies to follow at a later date.

Some of the things that caught my eye included the sharpened stool and table at Danish company & Tradition. A very practical solution to the problem of scuffing – here you can just sand the legs down as no paint will be chipped.

I found myself drawn to the simplicity and humanity of this look as well as the playfulness. See the modular side table whose primary function (after being a table) is, as its designer Mia Hamborg says, “to create joy”.

Another stand in a similar vein was Muuto with very commercial and mass appeal objects for easy contemporary living.

Keeping in the vein of easy living, Sentou‘s colours never fail to cheer one up . Woven stools were one of their new items on show which you can see in their catalogue online.

Perigot and their homewares reminded me a bit of Labour & Wait: utilitarian home utensils but with more plastic!
